The Details

Porsche’s 964-generation 911 Turbo 3.6 is widely regarded as one of the most significant and desirable air-cooled models ever produced. Introduced for the 1993 model year and built in extremely limited numbers through 1994, the 3.6-liter Turbo marked the final evolution of the original rear-drive 911 Turbo formula—pairing the widened bodywork and iconic “tea tray” rear spoiler with a vastly updated chassis, modern electronics, and the most powerful air-cooled flat-six Porsche had ever offered in a street car.

At its core was the M64/50 engine, a 3.6-liter turbocharged flat-six producing 355 horsepower and 384 lb-ft of torque—figures that placed it squarely among the most potent supercars of its day. A single KKK turbocharger, Bosch Motronic engine management, and improved boost delivery gave the 3.6 Turbo sharper throttle response and more tractable power than its 3.3-liter predecessor, while a strengthened G50 5-speed gearbox and uprated suspension ensured composure under full load. Larger brakes borrowed from the 928 GTS provided ample stopping power, and the car’s unmistakable wide-body stance concealed a host of chassis refinements developed in Porsche’s motorsports program.

This 1994 Porsche 911 Turbo 3.6 is a superb example of the breed, finished in striking Guards Red over Cashmere Beige leather. Showing fewer than 28,000 miles from new, it presents in remarkable condition both cosmetically and mechanically, reflecting years of careful stewardship. The exterior paintwork retains its factory luster, accented by polished alloy wheels, red brake calipers, and signature Turbo badging. Inside, the cabin remains as it left Stuttgart—fitted with full leather trim, power-adjustable seats, a sunroof, and Porsche’s original CR-1 stereo.

As one of just 1,437 units built worldwide, the 964 Turbo 3.6 is an exceptionally rare and coveted model, often regarded as the last truly analog 911 Turbo. It combines raw turbocharged performance with the bulletproof engineering and hand-built quality that defined Porsche’s golden era, and stands as a high-water mark in the brand’s air-cooled lineage.

This low-mileage, beautifully preserved example represents a rare opportunity to acquire one of the most collectable 911s of the modern era—an icon of 1990s performance and a cornerstone of any serious Porsche collection.
