The Details
When the E36-generation M3 debuted in 1995 for the U.S. market, it marked a dramatic evolution from the original E30—larger, more refined, and yet still resolutely focused on performance. Powered by the S50 inline-six, it delivered a broad torque curve and usable performance, making it both a formidable driver’s car and a daily companion. Today, the E36 M3 has emerged as one of the most collectible modern classics of the 1990s, with the rarest specifications and period-correct upgrades commanding particular attention. This 1995 BMW M3 is one of just 15 examples produced for the U.S. in Daytona Violet over M Rain/Amaretta Grau (B4TT), a striking and highly sought-after color and trim combination. A lifetime Colorado car with a clean title, it shows just under 90,000 miles and has been in the care of its current owner for the past eight years. Purchased completely stock, it has since been transformed into one of the most comprehensively—and tastefully—built examples in existence, combining OEM BMW Motorsport “LTW/GT” components with Dinan performance upgrades and meticulous attention to detail.Highlights of the build include:
- Dinan supercharger system installed within the last 1,000 miles by Brett Raymond of MSportsParts in California (supercharger rebuilt prior to install)
- Dinan carbon fiber engine cover, throttle body, and exhaust
- Dyno tuned to 325 whp on an MS3-PRO standalone ECU (emissions compliant)
- VANOS rebuilt and full OEM cooling system refresh at 89,000 miles (including Z3M radiator)
Factory BMW Motorsport components, nearly all of which are long since NLA from BMW, include:
- OEM Class II rear spoiler with genuine LTW/GT risers
- OEM LTW/GT carbon fiber interior trim (glovebox, ashtrays, console)
- OEM LTW/GT front tray and spoiler with proper bumper cover and support
- OEM LTW/GT strut brace, side badges, and door sills
- OEM fog light delete covers (color-matched in Daytona Violet)
- OEM Euro Bosch glass headlights and Euro radiator cover
- OEM BMW Motorsport red seatbelts (front and rear)
- OEM ZCP shift knob
Additional performance and cosmetic enhancements include BBS LM wheels (reverse-mounted, polished, rebuilt), TC Kline adjustable coilovers, and full body protection via XPEL paint protection film and Gyeon ceramic coating, both applied by Denver Auto Shield. All major work and modifications were completed within the past 2,000 miles, making this a freshly built, fully sorted example.Accompanying the car are optional extras that may be included in the sale depending on price, such as:
- A pair of Recaro Pole Position seats, custom trimmed in M Rain/Amaretta Grau to perfectly match the factory interior
- A set of refinished OEM LTW/GT wheels
Combining exceedingly rare factory specification with authentic BMW Motorsport components and professionally executed Dinan performance upgrades, this M3 represents an opportunity to acquire not only one of the rarest U.S.-spec E36s, but also one of the best-prepared examples extant.
