The Details
Ferrari’s 360 Challenge Stradale has long stood as one of the marque’s most focused road-legal competition specials—a lightweight, track-tuned evolution of the 360 Modena conceived with the same ethos that guided Ferrari’s greatest homologation-era achievements. Developed alongside the brand’s FIA GT programs, the Challenge Stradale adopted extensive motorsport-derived upgrades, including thinner glass, carbon-ceramic braking, recalibrated damping, weight-optimized bodywork, and a powertrain sharpened for relentless, high-RPM durability. Its combination of reduced mass, elevated responsiveness, and aural intensity quickly established the model as the definitive analogue Ferrari of its era, and demand has remained consistently strong as collectors increasingly recognize the CS as a bridge between Ferrari’s classic naturally aspirated lineage and its modern performance philosophy.
This example, one of just eight finished in an extracampionario exterior color and a one of one in this specification, is finished in stunning Canna di Fucile over a Bordeaux leather interior with red brake calipers. Originally delivered with Ferrari’s F1 automated manual gearbox, it has since been converted to a gated six-speed manual. The conversion was performed by Universal Autosports in November of 2020, and is one of approximately ten examples to have been converted with strictly OEM Ferrari parts. The result is a uniquely immersive expression of the Challenge Stradale’s character, pairing its high-strung 3.6-liter V8 with the mechanical precision, tactility, and driver engagement long associated with Ferrari’s most celebrated road cars. Other notable options include a coloured upper dashboard, fire extinguisher, CD player and HIFI system, automatic climate control, electric windows, and heated exterior mirrors.
Indicating approximately 17,343 miles at the time of cataloguing, this one-of-one, gated-manual Challenge Stradale is accompanied by a full set of original manuals and the original window sticker, and presents a rare opportunity to acquire an exceptionally documented example of one of Ferrari’s most revered modern lightweight specials.
